The Italian company Nuova Patavium “recently equipped a Russian vessel used in the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea.” The ImportGenius database revealed Russian customs documents that broke down how the Russians circumvented US sanctions. This is the most controversial pipeline in the world. According to the article, U.S. sanctions penalize anyone involved with the construction of the pipeline with upwards of a $1 million dollar fine.
